Further Information:
The film has already gathered momentum in America being premiered at the site of his assassination, the Audubon Ballroom, on February 21st the day of his assassination. The audience included Malcolm's children, his close friends and a 400 strong audience from New York. It has also screened in 9 cities globally on his birthday (May 19th). The idea was to raise the consciousness of everyone watching it to be able to tune in and hear Malcolm's echo, creating a universal consciousness ripple of positivity. Darkling Productions attended the London screening which sold out prior to the event. There's still a lot of love for Malcolm.

'Using film as a catalyst for change'

Malcolm X is an example of a young man who
Darkling logomanaged to turn his life around from one of crime
and hustling to a well studied intellectual freedom fighter, who was able to take his case for Human Rights to the UN table. Despite his father being murdered by the KKK and his mother being institutionalised, he choose to be a man that lived up to his potential and commanded a place on the global stage of economics, politics and culture, fighting for equality and justice!

What was it that freed Malcolm from becoming just another statistic? Are the solutions to today's predicament in the pages of his lifes work?
